In the book, A SAYLOR LINEAGE by John Galen Saylor is the text of the obituary "for Rudolph Saylor in the Meyersdale Republican, July 18, 1901" with the following information: "John Saylor, [SL414] the second son of the original John [SL41], had three sons: Christopher (Christian) [SL4142] owned the Jacob Peck farm, where he died. He had been married three times; Jacob [SL4143] moved to Fayette County near Uniontown, where he died; John J. [SL4144], who was the third John in the lineage, lived and died on Saylor Hill."

[A forth son, Abraham, SL4146, died young and is not shown continuing the Saylor name.]
